I'm about to start some POA scarves and was hoping you all would share which brands and the colors you've used for your scarves. I'm wanting something that's not 100% acrylic but modestly priced, as I'm making several that will be prizes at a Harry Potter themed camp later in the year. Thanks!

Hey guys!

I'm new here, and I want to knit or crochet an HP scarf. Well, hopefully more than just that, but that's my first goal. I've never done either before so I'll be starting from scratch completely, and I was wondering which I should choose to do: knit or crochet? Initially I was thinking I just want to do what's the easiest, but I know myself, and that just won't do. I'm already anticipating having to make the scarf several times before I'm satisfied with it, so that's not a problem. I want to know what will look better and tighter, and which craft I'll have more flexibility with when I'm done with the initial scarf. I'm thinking probably knitting. I skimmed down the page of HP patterns and most of them seemed to be for knitting, but I don't really know what I'm looking at. What do you guys think?

EDIT: I'm thinking I'd like to knit the atypically.net pattern POA scarf that everyone seems to be talking about, but the site is down or something. I can't access it. Has it been posted anywhere else?

Self-described as "a little community with a lot of rage," you can soak up impassioned vibes and read blistering exposes detailing sexist attitudes in the news, pop culture, and science! A must-join community if you are, or love, a feminist. (NB: the topic of whether a "man" can be a feminist is outside the scope of this spotlight, but will probably wind up on the Writer's Block.)

Hey! I'm new here - I was trying to access the "Snowball Fight" hat here. But for some reason the site wants a username/password to download the pattern. Can anyone help me out? Thanks so much!

Panel Number #8!!

After seeing the group shot, i'm going to have to redo poor Harry...
As i've gone along i've added more and more shading, making them more and more life-like and there is something really really wrong if Riddle looks better than Harry!
So technically I guess I have 2 more panels to do - but one more character to go!!

Just want to say thank you for ALL your comments on this baby so far!
I've said it before and i'll say it 100 times again,
*You guys are AWESOME!*
Happy New Year!!

In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.
