"We Come From Newzzie Land"

I came into today, expecting it to be total crap. This day has so many bad memories tied to it. But I couldn't be happier with the outcome of today.
It was fricken freezing when I went to school. The street was flooded just before school, so it was like driving through the ocean.
My really goodness began when I was taking my stuff out of my locker to go to class. I look up and there's Andy, coming to talk to the seniors who always sit around my locker. My heart seriously skipped a couple beats. I kinda ran off so that I could find my other friends who would be arriving soon. That gave me an excuse to come back to my locker with them and just stand there and stare at all his beauty. Fuck, he looked so amazing.
Math was okay, we learned about conditions for similaraty. In History we watched a clip from All In The Family, and then talked about the 60s. English was pretty good today. We did our presentations and then talked about the field trip tomorrow. Lunch was SNOOZE fest pretty much. I didn't eat, but instead spent most of the time in the library, typing up a math report that is due tomorrow. Then I researched cloning and emailed Ama and stuff. Towards the end of the period, I decided to come out to Shreya. And she took it really well and that made me happy.
Science was pretty good. We learned about vectors, which is a really easy topic.
Work was fine, nothing spectacular about it. I made a kid cry by not putting up wit him when he was complaining about counting and me saying "Fine, we won't count today!" I'm seriously getting a reputation for making kids cry.
Immersion was AMAZING! We had a seder meal, and then had a really good discussion about abortions afterwards. I must admit to you, I've always wanted to be Jewish. To me, it's a religion and belief system that makes more sense to me than Christianity. I think I'm going to try to make sure I get with a Jewish guy.
I was really the only person who came to help set up, so I kinda stood around while Jamie and Beth did everything. When Teija came, we picked the last scraps of meat off the bones of the chicken, which was delicious. The meal was beautiful, which I never doubted it would be. The horseradish was an interesting experience. I ate all of it, and it felt like an explosion went off in my mouth or something.
I really enjoyed the discussion about abortions, but at the same time I felt awkward. I know that my views on things are very different than other's views, and often times my views contradict themselves. So it's really hard for me to discuss things.
When we prayed, it was totally ridiculous. Most of us had a hard time keeping a straight face, mostly due to the absurd wish for a Snow Day and the joke about Natalie's dog.
And then Teija decided to ask if we could go on a missions trip to "Newzzie Land". She actually said New Zealand, but totally stressed the wrong sylables. It was pretty awesome.

So ya, there's my first entry of (hopefully) a bunch of future entries!

A Certain Scene in PoA

Okay, so you all know the scene in which Harry and everyone else in his dormitory have those candies that turn them into animals? Well, I used to hate it. But now after watching the movie again, I really like it. It shows that while Harry may be the chosen one and is all special, he's still just a normal guy. And omg, there's a line that I really want to say to someone soon, "Your aura is pulsing dear, are you in the beyond?!"

Last Day!!

Finally, it's the last day of school! This also means that I don't have to hide my screen in tech class, because our teacher is letting us do whatever we want. Mhm, it's pretty nice.

I ended up forgetting my gym summative today. The first thing that I've screwed up all year long, and of course it had to be in gym class and on the last day. I talked to my teacher and he told me to bring it tomorrow, but he sounded slightly disappointed.

Other than that, today has been pretty good so far. Im hoping that when I get home, my costume will have arrived. I really want to make sure that my scarf will match it.

I've started coming up with some more ideas for the Villoake series, which is really good. I was stuck for so long without any ideas. Now I can actually work on it during the summer like I planned. The ideas? Well, each book will be named after a different Zodiac symbol. (I know, a LOT of writing). But it works with my original idea. See, my original idea was to make each book based off of the five classical elements and each book would deal with the characteristics tied to those elements. Instead, I still could focus on the elements, but at the same time I could focus on the different characteristics involved with the 12 zodiac signs. (Interesting tidbit: zodiac comes from the Greek word, "Zodiakos" which means 'circle of little animals' It made me laugh) There's also a lot more information out there on the zodiac than the elements, which makes it easier to include both. Thoughts?

I'm getting into a research phase. I wanted to make the list of what I want to do this summer, but I think that's going to have to wait for later.

Well, this entry was going to be one thing and then it became something completely different. Which I guess isn't that bad of a thing, but it's not helpful when you're trying to remember stuff.

Back in 1999, I got a journal as my birthday present. I wrote in it on and off, usually about twice a year. It wasn't until last year that I started to write in it pretty seriously. My entries got a lot longer and my handwriting improved so much. To give you an idea of how much I've written so far; from January to today, I have written 50% of what is written.

Last night, after writting like three pages, I decided to go back and read some entries (something that I do quite often). One of the first things that I noticed was that starting January 1st this year, I dropped "Dear Diary" from the beginning of my entries. Weird, huh?

Then there was one entry that I made back in February about a dream that I had. And as I got further into the dream, I started to realize that the dream had actually came true. Weird, huh?

Okay, so today our tech teacher decided to change the length of the project we're working on. It turns out that I've finished everything that we ahve to do now. SO, I have nothing to do during tech for the next three days. Which is actually kind of nice. It means that I can just sit around, go on facebook, post some on CoS forums and do nothing!

This morning I was super bored and I had a whole lot of extra time before I had to go to the bus. So I went and spent like 5 minutes doing my hair. It's actually kind of gross though, because now I have three different hair products in my hair; one for colour, one for hold and then one for the annoying bits that wouldn't stay in place.

I felt bad this morning. I didn't bring OotP with me this morning, so when the British Lady saw me she thought I was done reading all the books, and that's what I said. But I felt bad for lying to her...

I'll post later. There's not that much else that has happened today.

What's a person to do?

Really, what is a person to do? There's a person who's come back into my life, and I've trying to stitch up holes that grew between us. They'll talk to me, they'll start the conversation. This is way more than they did when we were really good friends. Most of the other times, I'll be the one starting the converstation. But recently, I've started to run out of topics. I can't think of a single thing to talk about. And really, it sucks. I've been trying so hard to repair everything that's gone. And now it seems to all be falling apart. So what is a person to do, when they've tried so hard to have something but it won't happen?

DISCLAIMER: Don't mistake this for a typical emo teenager post xD It's not. I'm quite happy for the second chance I've been given.

Today was pretty fun. Every morning, there's this british lady that walks by me and she has two dogs. One of them is Betsy. She's pretty awesome. So anyways, I was holding Order of the Phoenix and she said, "Reading Harry Potter are you, eh? Are you excited for the next book?" And I said ya. And then she told me that she has all the books and she can't wait. See, that's why I love that lady. I don't know her name or anything about her, but the small two seconds we spend everyday are pretty awesome.

The rest of the day was kinda boring. I got 6 awards in the Bateman Best, and they were all mostly for really lame things. I almost finished my gym summative in tech and I got out of gym by selling samosas. It was fun.

We finished our whole french summative after school, and we have SOOOOOOOOOO many bloopers. But at least it's all done. Now I have two more summatives left; vocal and gym.

HP IN 37 DAYS!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! I can't wait!

Well, after many failed attempts, I'm going to try to make this the LJ that I'll post on daily. If you don't already know, I'm a bit obsessed with Harry Potter.
